Role Summary
The Telecaller will act as the first point of contact for customers and prospects, promoting general
insurance products, generating leads, and assisting with renewals or queries. The role requires
excellent communication skills, a persuasive approach, and the ability to handle customer
interactions professionally while maintaining regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities
1. Lead Generation & Sales Support
• Make outbound calls to potential customers to generate leads for insurance products (Motor,
Health, Travel, Commercial, etc.).
• Follow up on marketing campaigns and inquiries to convert prospects into policyholders.
• Assist sales team in booking appointments and scheduling client meetings.
2. Policy Renewal & Retention
• Contact existing customers to remind them about policy renewals.
• Provide basic guidance on policy benefits and coverage.
• Assist in ensuring high renewal rates and customer retention.
3. Customer Support & Query Resolution
• Respond to incoming calls and queries regarding policy details, claims, and coverage.
• Coordinate with operations, claims, and underwriting teams for issue resolution.
• Maintain professionalism and ensure excellent customer service.
4. Documentation & Reporting
• Update CRM and lead management systems with call notes and customer interactions.
• Maintain accurate records of calls, follow-ups, and outcomes.
• Prepare daily/weekly reports for management review.
Qualifications & Experience
• Minimum Qualification: Graduate (any discipline).
• 0–2 years experience in telecalling, customer service, or insurance sales is preferred.
• Basic knowledge of general insurance products is an advantage.
• Proficiency in MS Office and CRM tools.
